The PGA's
OFF-LIST and PGA
Codes - were established by PGA voters in 2003 - and the PGA
has these 6 PGA CODES as it's basis and standard. The committee will
work via email and post to consider infraction cases. Evidence will
be submitted to the Committee through the PGA Ruling Committee Co-ordinator
and forwarded to the Committee members who will vote on each case of
possible codes violations.
A majority
vote by the PGA Ruling Committee is the requirement for being placed
on the PGA's OFF-LIST. This Off-list is the way that the PGA can warn
the public of wrong doers in the Global practice of Planetary Gemology
To submit complaints or accusation's of PGA Codes violations for consideration
and voting by the PGA Ruling Committee please click COMPLAINT
to send mail.

WHY?
|
*PGA
Codes of Professional Ethics
The
Planetary Gemologists Association - http://p-g-a.org - conducted
voting on certain key issues concerning the ethical practice of
Planetary Gemology. The results of voting by 96 PGA Members are
given below for easy reference....
*The
key issues and PGA voting results (April 2002):
---Use
of synthetics in jyotish - 89% against
---Use of very flawed gems in jyotish - 81% against
---Use of pratikul (harmful graha) gems in jyotish - 84% against
With
the majority votes greater than 75% - the major majority rule
has been accepted as the PGA standard. These PGA Codes of Professional
Ethics must be followed by every PGA member.
A
member who disagrees with any of the above rules may be removed
from the PGA Membership lists and placed on the PGA OFF list above.
The PGA off-list is also featured in the printed PGA Directories
(beginning with the PGA Directory & Journal 2003).
Thank
you for your kind cooperation in helping to make the PGA a meaningful
& useful Association that will benefit, educate, and protect
the general public.

Gemologists Association (PGA), is a necessary regulatory
and research group formed to help unite all genuine Planetary
Gemologists around the world.
Purpose

To establish high standards of professionalism and expertise
as requirements for membership, which will serve as a guarantee
of integrity and excellence to the public.

of "Planetary Gemology," and to present these findings and conclusions
by publishing an annual Journal named the "Journal of the Planetary
